I didn&#8217;t opt for the Maid of the Mist tour as my camera would have gotten ruined&#8230;.oh well.  I&#8217;ll bring the water proof case for my s70 next time.   I just saw a show on PBS the other day, and it was saying that the actual water running over the falls only represents something like 25% of the total amount of volume that is flowing into the area by the river.  The rest is redirected into the hydroelectric power systems.<\/p>\n<p>Its kinda freaky that people could jump\/fall into the water so easily and go right over the falls.
